Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certificate preferred.
• 1 year hospital experience including venipuncture preferred.
• Familiarity with hospital laboratory preferred.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: Phlebotomy certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draws blood from patients for analysis or other medical purposes.
• Assembles equipment (tourniquet, needles, tubes, gauze, alcohol) as required.
• Verifies patient identity and explains procedures to patients.
• Promotes positive patient interactions and excellent service.
• Infectious disease prevention through hand hygiene and PPE.
