Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Training in a formal Phlebotomy program required.
• Two years of health care experience preferred.
• Demonstrates ability to collect inpatient and outpatient adult/pediatric specimens in hospital and outpatient preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs blood drawing/collection using venipuncture and capillary techniques.
• Enters data, documents, and delivers specimens.
• Collects samples from infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
• Ensures patient identification and proper labeling in accordance with policy.
