Doctors Hospital of Augusta, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. This role involves drawing blood, preparing specimens, and verifying patient identity while explaining procedures.

You will assemble supplies, follow CLIA-compliant procedures, maintain infection control, and communicate with patients under pressure. A phlebotomy certificate is preferred, and a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certificate preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One-year hospital experience including venipuncture preferred.
• Familiarity with hospital laboratory; medical terminology preferred.

Responsabilités

• Draws blood from patients for analysis or other medical purposes.
• Assembles equipment such as tourniquet, needles, tubes and gauze as required.
• Verifies patient identity and explains procedures to patients.
