Job summary

Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy is seeking a PRN Pharmacist for our Rocky Hill, CT facility to cover shifts during high demand or leave periods. This closed-door setting requires accurate verification, labeling, and review of medication orders while complying with state and federal regulations.

You will join a team focused on long-term care patients, maintaining licenses, and delivering quality pharmaceutical care on an ad-hoc basis.

Qualifications

• CT State Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License required.
• Minimum one year of experience in a retail or long-term care pharmacy.
• Order-entry experience and typing speed of at least 40 WPM.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; able to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Manages workflow and pharmacist verification and labeling/packaging.
• Reviews medication orders for appropriateness and completeness.
• Complies with federal and local pharmacy laws regulated by boards and agencies.
• Maintains required licenses or certifications in good standing.
• Performs duties with a friendly, team-oriented approach.
