Job summary

Children's Health in Dallas, TX seeks a PRN Perioperative Assistant to support care across Preop, Phase II Recovery, OR and the Business Office. This role provides essential patient care and operates within a collaborative ambulatory surgery setting.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a current Basic Life Support certification, with preference for prior health-care experience. You will contribute to safe, efficient perioperative processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience in a health care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care tasks such as vital signs.
• Document vitals and room assignments in EPIC.
• Assist in room breakdown and equipment cleaning.
• Stock supplies in patient care and OR rooms.
• Transport patients to assigned areas.
• May assist with IV insertion and tubing priming as delegated.
• Transport and deliver approved medications per protocol.
