Job summary

Children's Health in Dallas, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Ambulatory Surgery Center to provide direct patient care in a fast-paced OR setting. The RN will apply the nursing process to deliver developmentally appropriate care and collaborate with the health care team to meet patient and family needs.

Responsibilities include coordinating patient care, ensuring safety and infection control, documenting encounters in EPIC, and educating patients and families.

Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license and BSN in Nursing required.
• Minimum 2 years OR experience in a healthcare setting.
• Current BLS, PALS and CNOR certifications preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to document care accurately and timely.

Responsibilities

• Prescribe, delegate and coordinate patient care in the OR using nursing process.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to plan and implement care.
• Document all patient encounters accurately in EPIC.
• Maintain safety and infection prevention standards.
• Educate patients and families about care plans.
