Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking a PRN Patient Transporter to assist in moving patients and equipment across the hospital. You will help patients reach therapies, radiology, and other areas while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Training on infection control and proper body mechanics is provided, with emphasis on accuracy in documentation and patient identification. Candidates should be prepared to work various shifts (Day/Evening/Night/Weekend) in Akron, with a focus on compassionate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Demonstrates genuine care for patients’ welfare.
• Ability to lift and transfer patients with assistance as needed.

Responsabilités

• Transport patients and personal property using wheelchairs, carts, and beds.
• Move patients to and from departments including therapy and radiology.
• Clean, sanitize and account for transportation equipment.
• Restock equipment and provide wheelchairs for visitors.
• Notify nursing staff upon patient arrival and complete required logs.
• Verify patient identification and ensure proper transport mode.
• Assist in bedding or transferring patients with proper precautions.
• Complete transports quickly and communicate delays to dispatch.
