Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking a PRN Patient Transportation Aide to join the Patient Transportation-Cleveland Clinic Akron General team. You will deliver exceptional service to patients, help them receive needed care, and move through various hospital areas efficiently.

As a PRN caregiver, you will work between 1st and 2nd shifts and support nursing staff by transporting patients with care and respect while following infection control practices and body mechanics guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Demonstrated interest aptitude for caregiving and patient interaction.
• Genuine concern and care for patients' welfare.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients and their personal property using wheelchairs, carts and beds.
• Move patients with or without IVs or oxygen to and from various departments.
• Clean, sanitize and account for transportation equipment and wheelschairs.
• Restock portable oxygen tanks and store equipment in designated areas.
• Provide wheelchairs for ACC and visitors; assist with patient bedding and transfers.
• Notify dispatchers of start, completion or delays; complete required logs.
