Job summary

Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus in Ohio invites you to join a team delivering essential patient transport services. As a Patient Transporter, you will move patients and lightweight equipment across clinical, ancillary and support areas, ensuring safety and comfort while maintaining professional interactions with patients and visitors.

Shifts run 7:00am–3:30pm or 3:00pm–11:30pm with rotating weekends; on-the-job training lasts three months.

Qualifications

• Three months of on-the-job training to learn hospital locations, procedures and safety.
• Must be able to move patients and equipment safely.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas using wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds.
• Transfer patients between beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers.
• Transport patients during discharge to the lobby.
• Verify patient identification and proper medical charts.
• Disinfect and maintain equipment.
• Perform safety checks and report malfunctioning equipment.
• Move equipment and linen carts.
