Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Proof of Mandatory Reporter course within 6 months of start date.
• PC proficiency and experience with hospital insurance claims filing and reimbursement principles.
• Must be able to use and operate office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients in person or by phone to obtain required information for hospital records and billing.
• Register or pre-register all scheduled patients for admissions, outpatient services, and clinic visits.
• Verify insurance coverage and determine upfront payment or co-pay.
• Handle clerical tasks, answer phones, file, fax, scan, and maintain attendance.
