HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital is seeking a Patient Registrar PRN to ensure timely and accurate patient registration. You will interview patients for account information and verify insurance coverage, contributing to smooth workflows at the point of care.

Responsibilities include bedside or workstation interviews, collecting signatures, and determining insurance pre-certification when needed, while delivering exemplary customer service and maintaining patient confidentiality.

Qualifikationen

• 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.

Aufgaben

• Interview patients at workstations or at bedside to obtain all necessary account information.
• Provide exemplary customer service
• Ensure charts are completed and accurate
• Verify all insurance and obtain pre-certification/authorization
• Calculate and collect patient liability amounts
• Ensure that all necessary signatures are obtained for treatment
• Process patient charts according to paperwork flow needs and established productivity standards
• Interview incoming patients, relatives and / or other responsible individuals to obtain identifying and demographical information with insurance and financial information
• Assign Insurance Plans accurately
• Verify insurance benefits and determine pre-certification/authorization status via online or other resources
• Secure all signatures necessary for treatments, release of medical information, assignment of insurance benefits, and payment of services
• Understand/explain policies regarding services, pricing, insurance billing, and payment of account
