Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, invites PRN Patient Care Technicians to join a collaborative nursing team. You will assist RNs, monitor patient conditions, and support care plans.

The role requires a High school diploma or GED, 1+ year acute care experience, Kansas CNA license or completion of the HCA PCT Essentials training, and BCLS on hire. Flexible PRN schedule with minimum 2 twelve-hour shifts per month and December start dates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of experience in an acute care setting required.
• Kansas CNA license or completion of the HCA Patient Care Tech Essentials training.
• BCLS certification required upon hire.
• With no recent hospital-based experience, attend the PCT Essentials training (M-F 8a - 5pm first 2 weeks of employment). December Start Dates.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
• Flexible PRN Schedule - must work minimum 2 12‑hr shifts per month; DECEMBER START DATES.
