Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital seeks a PRN Patient Care Nursing Assistant to join the Rapid Observation Unit. The role supports admission, observation and treatment in a fast-paced ED-adjacent setting, with day, evening, night and weekend shifts.

You will assist with daily patient care, monitor vitals, help with meals, transport specimens and document in the electronic medical record, while maintaining safety and compassion.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• BLS Certification through AHA or Red Cross on hire or soon after.
• Basic computer knowledge and skills prior experience.

Aufgaben

• Prepare units, rooms and beds for admissions, transfers or emergencies.
• Provide and document assigned care such as bathing, linen changes and mobility.
• Record vital signs, weights and measurements as directed.
• Perform treatment procedures safely (venous access, enemas, ice/heat packs).
• Assist with meals, feeding and nourishment distribution per orders.
• Assist perioperative care: turning, positioning and ambulation as directed.
• Accompany patients during admission, transfer and discharge.
• Conduct hourly rounds and respond to call lights promptly.
• Collect, label and transport specimens to the proper area.
• Maintain clean rooms, report outages, manage supplies and inventory.
• Document care in the electronic medical record and maintain competencies.
