Qualifications

• Credential requirements include a State Paramedic License and NREMT-Paramedic (SC & AL).
• Required certifications include BLS, PALS and ACLS.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation and determine best action per Paramedic protocol.
• Utilize Paramedic skills on equipment (defibrillator, monitor, oxygen, suction) and IV fluids.
• Document patient information, condition and treatment with confidentiality.
• Communicate with patients and families to provide information and reassurance.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive ambulance on emergency responses and coordinate with other responders.
