Job summary

Excelsior Ambulance Service Inc in Charleston, SC is seeking an EMT Part Time (PRN) to deliver emergency medical care under the supervision of the Division Manager and in compliance with applicable laws and service policies.

Responsibilities include assessing calls, using EMT equipment such as defibrillator and patient monitoring devices, documenting care, communicating with patients and families, and driving an ambulance on emergency responses while collaborating with hospital and public safety

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include: age 20+, high school diploma or GED, EMT license and state driver’s license, BLS and NREMT SC & AL, clean driving record, ability to pass Physical Agility Test.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine best course of action with Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize EMT skills with defibrillator, monitoring equipment, oxygen, suction, and interventions to provide patient care.
• Document patient information and treatment while maintaining confidentiality.
• Communicate with patients and families to provide information and reassurance.
• Drive ambulance on emergency responses and coordinate with EMS and public safety teams.
