Job summary

Excelsior Ambulance Service Inc. is seeking a full-time EMT in Charleston, SC to provide emergency medical care under Division Manager guidance. Duties include on-site patient assessment, treatment, and documentation, with ambulance operation on emergency calls.

Qualifications include minimum age 20, HS diploma or GED, State EMT license, valid driver’s license, BLS and NREMT (SC & AL). The role offers health benefits and opportunities for CEU support.

Qualifications

Minimum age 20 years.
High school diploma or GED.
State EMT/EMT-I/AEMT license and a valid driver’s license.
BLS, NREMT (SC & AL).
Pass Physical Agility Test.
Some healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess each call to determine best action per Paramedic protocols.
Use EMT skills with defibrillator, monitoring equipment, oxygen and suction devices.
Document patient information and maintain confidentiality.
Communicate with patients and family to provide information and assurance of care.
Drive ambulance on emergency responses and assist with scene management.
Work collaboratively with medical and public safety personnel.
