Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Paramedic for PRN coverage in Kentucky. This role provides advanced life support, transports patients, and prioritizes care under state and local medical protocols. Critical ALS skills and rapid decision-making are essential.

Qualifications

• Paramedic license issued by the Kentucky Board of EMS.
• Valid Kentucky Motor Vehicle Operator's License.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced life support care to ill or injured patients.
• Transport and triage patients, prioritizing medical procedures as indicated.
• Administer oxygen and artificial respiration as needed; establish IV access and fluids per protocols.

Job Summary:

Provides advanced life support care to patients who are ill and/or injured. Transports and transfers patients and assess the extent of an illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to follow. Applies artificial respiration or administers oxygen in cases of suffocation and asphyxiation, starts and administers intravenous fluids, performs other emergency medical interventions in accordance with State and Locally approved medical protocols.
