Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a full-time Paramedic to join our transport EMS team at Baptist Health Hardin in Kentucky. The position is 3 days per week totaling 36 hours.

You will provide advanced life support, document care, and operate within state and organizational policies. Active Kentucky paramedic licensure, BLS, PALS and ACLS are required to be considered for this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active Kentucky Paramedic license required at time of consideration.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA/ARC) required.
• PALS & ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care within the medical director approved department protocols and state scope of practice.
• Recognizes, responds to, and communicates changes in patient condition appropriately.
• Thoroughly and accurately completes all required documentation and patient care reports within required timeframe.
• Provides care appropriate to the emergency population and maintains the environment of care.
• Performs ambulance transportation services within the scope of practice of a Paramedic.
• Sets priorities for the transport of multiple patients.
• Assures resources and coordinates plan of delivery.
• Maintains knowledge and familiarity with each vehicle in fleet in order to operate smooth and safely.
• Assures ambulance is clean, stocked and response ready at the beginning and end of every shift as well as prior to each and every request for service.
• Ensures proper vehicle maintenance and equipment readiness as well as proper ALS gear readiness and utilization.

• Other certifications and specialty training as required by the Kentucky Board of EMS.
• Valid driver's license.
