Job summary

Baptist Health Louisville is seeking a PRN Paramedic to join the Transport EMS team. You will provide advanced life support and direct patient care across ages under medical direction, following approved protocols and state scope of practice.

You will perform ambulance transport and ensure readiness of vehicles and equipment. You will document care thoroughly, communicate patient changes effectively, and prioritize multiple transports while supporting clinical excellence, teamwork, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active Paramedic license through the Kentucky Board of EMS.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider (AHA/ARC).
• PALS & ACLS certifications.
• Additional Kentucky EMS certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care within department protocols and scope of practice.
• Recognizes and communicates changes in patient condition.
• Completes documentation and patient care reports promptly.
• Provides care to emergency populations and maintains care environment.
• Performs ambulance transport within paramedic scope.
• Sets priorities for transport of multiple patients.
• Ensures vehicle readiness, equipment and ALS gear readiness.
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and readiness before each shift.

SummaryProvides advanced life support care to patients who are ill and/or injured. Administers direct care to the patient of all age groups under the direction of an emergency medical physician, emergency physician’s assistant, and emergency advanced registered nurse practitioner or utilizes approved EMS protocols if transporting a patient.
