Job summary

Piccard Surgery Center in Rockville, MD is seeking a qualified PACU Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care for patients waking from anesthesia or sedation. You will evaluate patient conditions, plan and implement care, and support families through discharge planning.

Required: RN licensure in the state, BLS/ACLS; PALS if center requires. Two years PACU/ICU experience preferred, with strong communication and organizational skills to manage workloads in a busy surgical setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient needs.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Position Overview

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Pay Range- Min: $45 to Max: $56

Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.
