Silver Cross Surgery Center in New Lenox, IL is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to provide continuity and high-quality care for patients emerging from anesthesia. You will ensure safety, comfort, privacy, and assist physicians in procedure rooms as needed, including conscious sedation and sterile technique.

Qualifications include RN from an accredited school, active IL license, BLS and ACLS, with 2 years PACU/ICU experience preferred.

PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN)

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in IL
• BLS and ACLS Required
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Pay range: $37.34 - $48.00
