Job summary

USPI is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse at Silver Cross Surgery Center in New Lenox, IL. You will deliver continuous, safe care to patients recovering from general anesthesia or sedation, assessing andplanning care for discharge while supporting the care team.

Qualifications include IL RN license, BLS/ACLS, and PACU/CCU experience preferred. The role offers comprehensive benefits and a supportive environment with strong teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
  • Active IL RN license.
  • BLS and ACLS required.
  • 2 years PACU/CCU preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and nursing judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide total patient care to patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation.
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for discharge readiness.
  • Assist physicians in procedure rooms with various tasks and sterile technique.

Our technology allows surgeons to perform procedures in the specialty areas of: Anesthesiology, Ear, Nose, and Throat, Head and Neck Surgery, General Surgery, Gynecology, Ophthalmology/Oculoplastic, Orthopedic Surgery, Pain Management, Plastic Surgery, Podiatry, Spine Surgery, Urology/Lithotripsy.

PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN)

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
  • Active RN license in IL
  • BLS and ACLS Required
  • 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
  • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
  • Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Pay range: $37.34 - $48.00
