Job summary

Platinum Surgery Center in Harlingen, TX is hiring a RN PACU to provide care for patients emerging from general anesthesia or sedation. The role includes ongoing assessment, planning, and discharge preparation in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

The PACU RN will work weekdays only, with potential for early mornings or later evenings based on surgical flow. 6 OR rooms and 1 treatment room support efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required; PALS if required by the center
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment and prioritize workload
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients with continual evaluation of condition
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as appropriate
• Provide post-anesthesia care and discharge preparation

Platinum Surgery Center is hiring a RN PACU

Welcome to Platinum Surgery Center
We have 6 OR rooms and 1 Treatment room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in General, Gastro, Anesthesiology, ENT, Pedi Dentistry, Ophthalmology, Oral, OB/GYN. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN) at Platinum Surgery Center
The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications
