Job summary

Howard County Gastrointestinal Diagnostic Center, part of United Surgical Partners International, Inc., is seeking a Pre Op PACU Nurse. The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.

The role may assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as deemed appropriate.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients with continual condition evaluation.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile technique as deemed appropriate.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assess, plan, implement and evaluate for discharge.

Pay Range: Min: $38.03 to Max: $57.05
