Job summary

Grande Dunes Surgery Center is seeking a PRN PACU Registered Nurse to join our ambulatory surgery team in Myrtle Beach, SC. You will provide postoperative nursing care, ensure patient safety, and support the center’s mission and values.

Responsibilities include airway management, IV care, monitoring, and discharge preparation. Requires active RN license, 1 year PACU/ICU experience, and BCLS; ACLS/PALS as required by facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a PACU or ICU setting; preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
• Active RN license as required by state of employment.
• Required valid BCLS Certification upon employment. online certification not acceptable
• ACLS required/PALS as required by facility.

Responsibilities

• Prepare your patients’ care area adequately and ensure necessary equipment and supplies.
• Demonstrate proper airway management techniques.
• Monitor patients according to policy (vital signs, temperature, cardiac, etc.).
• Insert, maintain, and remove IV catheters and saline locks as needed.
• Perform and document head-to-toe evaluation using approved scoring system.
• Check dressings/operative site and report abnormalities.
• Provide a safe and comforting environment for patients and family.
• Ensure patients meet discharge criteria.
