Job summary

Dunes Surgical Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to plan, coordinate, and oversee care for patients in PACU, Pre-op and Step-Down departments. You will implement physician orders, document care, and communicate with the care team to maintain quality outcomes.

The role requires an RN with active licensure, BLS and ACLS certifications, and prior professional nursing experience. You will collaborate with physicians, provide patient advocacy, and contribute to ongoing quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited college or university.
• Registered Professional Nurse with current state licensure (RN).
• Work experience as a professional nurse.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Ability to demonstrate clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and provide perioperative nursing care from PACU to pre-op and step-down areas.
• Document care and ensure accurate medical records and data completeness.
• Collaborate with physicians and health care team to implement prescribed care plans.
• Maintain current knowledge of IV therapy, medication administration, and patient assessment.
• Advocate for patients and ensure safety, privacy, and HIPAA compliance.
• Participate in committees and quality improvement activities when assigned.
