Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time PRN Pharmacist for our outpatient clinic retail pharmacy in Rome, Georgia. The position covers up to 10 hours per week with first-shift hours, 8 AM to 6 PM.

You will oversee safe pharmaceutical care and provide patient counseling in a dynamic clinical setting. Qualifications include a PharmD or ACPE-accredited degree, active licensure or reciprocity eligibility, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist in the applicable state or eligible for reciprocity.
• Immunization and non-vaccine injectable certification may be required by practice area.
• Pharmacy knowledge and patient-care skills appropriate for outpatient clinic setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe and effective pharmaceutical care in the practice area.
• Counsel patients and caregivers on medication therapy, adverse effects, adherence and proper use.
• Design and monitor patient-specific pharmacotherapeutic regimens and evaluate orders.
• Review medication orders for accuracy and safety.
• Participate in medical emergencies and medication safety/quality improvement activities.
• Mentor pharmacy teammates and supervise pharmacy support staff.
