Job summary

Central Ohio Primary Care is seeking a Contingent Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to provide high-quality outpatient medical care on an as-needed basis in central Ohio. The role covers peak volumes, vacations, and staffing gaps, with flexible scheduling and on-site clinic work.

The physician will manage preventive, acute and chronic conditions, work with a multidisciplinary team, and document in EPIC while complying with HIPAA and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Residency completed in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Unrestricted, active medical license in the practicing state.
• Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality outpatient primary care on a contingent/PRN basis.
• Conduct patient examinations, histories, and routine wellness checks.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions including hypertension, diabetes, asthma.
• Order and interpret labs, imaging, and other tests; manage referrals.
• Prescribe medications and vaccines per state regulations.
• Deliver preventive care and patient education on wellness and disease prevention.
• Document accurately in EPIC and maintain HIPAA-compliant records.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.

Education

MD or DO

Residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine

Unrestricted medical license

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine

Current BLS certification
