Job summary

Central Ohio Primary Care is seeking a dedicated contingent Primary Care Physician to provide high-quality outpatient care on an as-needed basis to cover peak volumes, vacations, and staffing gaps. You will treat acute and chronic conditions, conduct exams, perform preventive care, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team in a HIPAA-compliant EPIC environment.

The ideal candidate will be board-certified/board-eligible in Family or Internal Medicine, hold an active medical license, and have

Qualifications

MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
Residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
Unrestricted, active medical license in the state of practice.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
Active, unrestricted DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
1–2 years outpatient primary care experience preferred; new graduates with strong residency references will be considered.

Responsibilities

Direct Clinical Care
Patient Examinations: histories, physicals, wellness checks.
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
Prescribe medications, therapies, and vaccines.
Deliver preventive health services and patient education.
Refer patients to specialists as needed.
Collaborate with nurses, PAs, and staff.
Communicate results and treatment plans clearly.
Maintain compliant medical records (EPIC) and follow HIPAA/OSHA/Joint Commission rules.
