Job summary

Bakersfield Post Acute is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) for PRN/Per Diem work in Bakersfield, CA. The OT will evaluate and treat residents in a skilled nursing and rehab setting, with an emphasis on collaboration with families, physicians, and the rehab team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat residents within 24 hours of referral.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with physician approval.
• Supervise COTAs, aides, and students per state practice act.
• Educate residents and families on maintenance and discharge planning.
• Participate in discharge planning and coordination of care.
