Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Texas RN license active and unencumbered while employed.
• BLS and ACLS certified or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 5 years intra-operative care experience
• Ortho/Spine experience preferred; cross-training to Pre-Op/PACU.

Responsibilities

• Develops and updates plan of care in partnership with patient and family using the nursing process.
• Follows nursing processes and adjusts care based on patient condition.
• Maintains patient safety and quality standards.
• Prepares operating room according to patient and procedure requirements.
• Directs patient care in a single operating room and oversees the unit daily checks.
• Documentation of patient care in a timely manner and accurate records.
