Job summary

Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital in Homewood, AL, seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Main OR in a PRN, as-needed capacity. The circulated RN will prepare the OR and instruments, monitor patients, and support the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient procedures.

Ideal candidates have OR experience, a valid Alabama RN license, and BLS; ACLS/NRP/PALS may be required for certain areas. Join a leading, comprehensive facility with a strong stroke and surgical care program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current State of Alabama RN license or multi-state RN license.
• BLS certification in Healthcare Provider.
• ACLS/NRP/PALS/TNCC as required for certain areas.

Responsibilities

• Circulate in the main operating room and prep sterile instruments.
• Maintain patient safety, proper positioning and sterile environment.
• Monitor patient vitals and advocate for patient needs throughout perioperative care.
• Coordinate communication between surgical team and other staff.
• Document care and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
