Job summary

Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital in Homewood, AL is expanding its Surgery team and seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Main Operating Room. This full-time position requires call and offers multiple schedules.

The RN will circulate, prepare the OR, monitor patients, and support the surgical team through all perioperative stages. Graduate of an approved nursing program with an Alabama RN license and BLS certification is required; 1 year OR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current state RN license or multi-state license.
• 1 year OR experience preferred; strong clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Circulate in the main operating room and assist during procedures.
• Prepare the operating room and sterile instruments.
• Monitor patient vital signs and advocate for patient needs.
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team and other staff.
• Maintain a safe, sterile environment and ensure patient safety.

Education

Alabama RN license

BLS certification

ACLS/NRP/PALS/TNCC as required
