Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's leading cancer care provider, has an exciting opportunity for a PRN Registered Nurse to float between Aurora and Centennial. We value care, compassion, and commitment as core principles and seek team members who share a calling to serve cancer patients.

Salary Range: $36.00-46.00 per hour. Pay reflects education, experience, and certification; OCN incentive pay is available after 90 days or upon certification attainment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education.
• RN license and active state registration in practicing state.
• Current BLS certification and ongoing education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administers chemotherapy, hydration and other medications under physician direction.
• Completes chemotherapy charge forms and understands drug reimbursement procedures.
• Obtains pre-authorization and proper consent prior to therapy administration.
• Uses ambulatory infusion pumps, documents pump usage and maintenance.
• Assesses patient and labs to modify dose per protocol with physician guidance.
• Performs venipuncture, central line care and catheter device management.
• Administers medications with correct dosing, route and timing.
• Educates patient and caregiver on pump use and home administration.
• Documents nursing assessments, teaching and medication administration in chart.
• Communicates interventions to physician; triages calls and documents accordingly.
• Assesses family needs and provides teaching materials.
