Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers in Pueblo is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to join our oncology care team. The role focuses on administering chemotherapy, hydration and other therapies under physician supervision, with emphasis on patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications include RN license in good standing, BSN preferred, BLS, and at least two years of nursing experience; oncology experience is preferred. RN incentive pay may apply for OCN certification after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
• RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Must maintain continuing education requirements.
• Minimum two years nursing experience; oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers chemotherapy, hydration and other medications under physician supervision.
• Maintains knowledge of chemotherapy reimbursement procedures and completes charge forms.
• Ensures pre-authorization and proper consent forms are obtained before therapy.
• Supports ambulatory infusion pump use, maintenance and documentation.
• Assesses patients, labs and treatment plans to adjust doses with physician approval.
• Performs venipuncture, central line care and catheter device management.
• Delivers medications with correct dosage, route and timing.
• Documents nursing assessments and patient education in the chart.
• Communicates significant information and interventions to the physician.
