Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers in Colorado is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to float across NoCo sites including Thornton, Lakewood, Boulder, and Longmont. You will administer chemotherapy and related care as directed by physicians, while ensuring safety, documentation, and patient education.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license in good standing, BLS, and at least two years of nursing experience, with oncology experience preferred.

Formación

• Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education; BSN preferred.
• RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification; maintain continuing education requirements.
• Minimum two years nursing experience; oncology experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Administers chemotherapy, hydration and other meds under physician supervision.
• Maintains knowledge of drug reimbursement; completes chemotherapy charge forms.
• Obtains pre-authorization and consent forms prior to therapy administration.
• Uses ambulatory infusion pumps; cleans and documents pump use.
• Assesses patient and labs to modify dose per protocol in consultation with physician.
• Performs venipuncture, issues central line access and catheter care.
• Delivers medications with correct product, dosage, route and timing.
• Trains patient and caregiver in pump use and home administration.
• Documents nursing assessments, teaching and medication administration.
• Communicates interventions to physician; triages phone calls and charts relevant info.
• Assesses needs and provides teaching/materials to patient/family.
