Job summary

Avante at Orlando is hiring a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide OT services to residents in a skilled nursing setting. You will assist in assessment, treatment planning, and implementation, and maintain documentation under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.

Qualifications include an OTA certificate, an Associate Degree in OT, current state licensure or eligibility, and 0–3 years in long-term care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• National Certification for OTA is required.
• Current state licensure or licensure eligibility.
• 0-3 years of long-term care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessment, treatment planning, and implementation under supervision.

Functions under supervision of the Occupational Therapist.

Qualifications:

• Ability to carry out treatment plans as designed by supervising therapist
• Ability to document daily care as per established guidelines.
• Ability to effectively communicate response to treatment intervention to residents, family, and other team members.

Education and Experience:

• Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Successful completion of the National Certification for O.T.A.
• Current state licensure or license eligible.
• 0-3 years of long-term care experience.

Background Screening Requirement:

This position requires background screening through the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
