Job summary

Avante at Ocala is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide OT services to residents in a skilled nursing facility. You will assist in assessment, planning and implementation under supervision of an Occupational Therapist, with emphasis on documentation and communication of progress.

Qualified candidates hold an Associate Degree in OT, OTA certification, and current licensure or eligibility to practice in Florida; 0–3 years in long-term care is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in OT from an accredited program.
• Successful completion of the National Certification for OTA.
• Current state licensure or license eligible.
• 0-3 years of long-term care experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out treatment plans as designed by supervising therapist.
• Document daily care per established guidelines.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
