Job summary

North Pointe Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) on a PRN basis to join our in-house rehab team in Watauga, Tennessee. You will deliver person-centered OT services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, focusing on improving residents’ independence and quality of life.

Candidate must hold a Texas OTA license and COTA credential, with SNF or long-term care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility or long-term care preferred.
• Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents.
• Provide skilled OT services under supervision of an OT.
• Respond to service requests and relay information to the OT.
• Ensure treatments align with plan of care.
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient response and report changes.
• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely.
• Attend required rehab department meetings.
