Job summary

Human Touch Home Health is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team serving Fairfax County, Virginia, including Alexandria and Arlington. This PRN opportunity offers flexibility, professional autonomy, and the chance to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives.

You will work with an Occupational Therapist to help patients regain independence and perform daily activities safely.

Qualifications

• Virginia COTA license required.
• Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation.
• Experience with WellSky Home Health is a plus.
• Home health experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the direction of an Occupational Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans to improve functional independence.
• Assist patients with ADLs, therapeutic exercises, and adaptive techniques.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home safety and energy conservation strategies.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising OT.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation using WellSky.

What You’ll Do

• Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the direction of an Occupational Therapist

• Active Virginia Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) License Required
• Valid Driver's License and Reliable Transportation
• Strong Communication and Documentation Skills
• Home Health Experience Preferred but Not Required
• Experience with WellSky Home Health is a plus
