Job summary

Human Touch Home Health is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our growing team serving patients throughout Richmond, Henrico, Chesterfield, Mechanicsville, Glen Allen, Midlothian, Hanover, and surrounding communities.

As a Home Health COTA, you’ll work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to help patients regain independence and improve quality of life through individualized therapy plans and patient education.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia COTA license required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Home health experience preferred but not required.
• Passion for delivering exceptional patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the direction of an Occupational Therapist
• Implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve functional independence
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, and adaptive techniques
• Educate patients and caregivers on home safety, adaptive equipment, and therapeutic activities
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist; Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation
