Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist to join MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital. You will provide OT services including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, and discharge planning, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include documenting care, adjusting plans as patient needs change, ensuring timely access to therapy, and participating in quality improvement and education of staff.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy and licensure in DC.
• CPR/BLS/NRP certification for healthcare providers within 90 days.
• Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit.

Responsibilities

• Provides evaluation services, including history review, assessments, and documentation of results.
• Implements treatment protocols and revises plans based on patient presentation and changes in condition.
• Completes discharge planning and accurate, timely documentation of care.
• Participates in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement activities and staff mentoring.

Education

Degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapist licensure in District of Columbia (DC)

CPR/Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (BLS/NRP) certification for healthcare providers

Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department
