Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy
• DC Occupational Therapist licensure
• CPR/BLS/NRP certification within 90 Days required
• Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit.

Responsibilities

• Provides evaluation services and documents results; explains findings to patient and family and involves them in goal setting.
• Implements treatment protocols based on evaluation findings and patient presentation; consults with other professionals as needed.
• Completes discharge planning and follow-up care with accurate documentation of patient care and progression.
• Manages scheduling, meets productivity expectations, and participates in multidisciplinary teams and committee work.
• Takes initiative for continuing education and serves as a clinical instructor or mentor when needed.

Education

DC licensure for Occupational Therapy
