Job summary

MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist to provide comprehensive OT services, including evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-evaluation, discharge planning and documentation.

Qualifications

• Requires degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.
• Current DC OT licensure or eligibility to practice in DC.
• CPR/BLS/NRP for healthcare providers within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs evaluation and develops individualized treatment plans with patient and family input.
• Implements evidence-based OT protocols and monitors progress, adjusting as needed.
• Documents care activities clearly and timely for reimbursement and reporting.
• Facilitates discharge planning and coordinates with the care team and community resources.
• Participates in quality improvement and clinical education within the department.
