Job summary

Barberton-Post-Acute is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate residents, develop individualized treatment plans, and improve mobility, balance, and independence. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and families to set goals and discharge plans.

You will supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, provide in-services for staff, ensure compliant documentation, and maintain safe treatment environments. The role requires state licensure and continuing education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy; Master’s or Doctorate preferred.
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state.
• CPR certification, if required by licensure.
• Proficiency with documentation systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine OT needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve mobility and independence.
• Supervise OTs Assistants and provide staff in-services.
• Communicate progress and discharge plans with physicians, families, and care team.
• Complete timely, compliant documentation per regulations and maintain safety.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy

Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy preferred
