Job summary

Barberton-Post-Acute is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Physical Therapist in delivering resident-centered care. You will assist with treatment, document care, and help maintain a safe, compliant environment within the facility.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Proficient with Net Health and PCC documentation.
• Ability to read technical procedures.
• Ability to interpret policies and procedures.
• Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication with team and residents.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation in accordance with requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control and safety protocols.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and rehabilitation meetings.
• Educate residents and families on treatment goals and home programs.
• Communicate progress and discharge planning with the team.
• Assist with training Restorative Aides.
• Recommend durable medical equipment to support independence.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and company information.
• Report equipment problems and contribute to quality improvement.
