Job summary

UF Health is seeking a registered Occupational Therapist for PRN coverage in Florida. The role delivers evidence-based assessment and treatment for musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary conditions, guiding patient progress and discharge planning.

The successful candidate will evaluate and adapt plans, educate patients and families, document care, and collaborate with the health care team. Florida OT license and BLS are required; at least 1 year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an AOTA accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
• 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience.
• BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Evaluation, reassessment, treatment, and education based on patient’s age and needs.
• Reassess rehabilitation needs and adjust plan of care as indicated.
• Observe, record, and report patient status and progress to the healthcare team.
• Educate patient, family and caregivers on ADLs and use of adaptive equipment.
• Submit accurate documentation in line with policies and productivity standards.
• Delegate tasks to COTA per Florida Practice Laws and supervise restorative tech.
• Promote care coordination and make referrals as needed.
