Job summary

US Heart and Vascular is seeking a PRN Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join Birmingham Heart Clinic in Birmingham, AL. You will cover PET imaging services and provide support when full-time techs are off, including satellite offices.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Radiology Technology program, ARRT/NMTCB registration, and BLS/CPR certification. Travel to satellite offices may be needed, with a flexible, as-needed schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology and ARRT/NMTCB registered.
• BLS/CPR certification and flexibility to travel to satellite offices.
• PRN role with coverage on days off for full-time techs.

Responsibilities

• Perform PET scans and operate imaging equipment.
• Explain procedures to patients and answer questions.
• Follow safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals as required.
• Maintain detailed procedure records and coverage at satellite locations.
