Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform PET-CT studies under a radiologist's supervision. You will operate a hybrid PET-CT system, ensure image quality, and uphold safety and regulatory standards in a high-volume diagnostic imaging department.

This full-time role requires ARRT or CNMT certification, CPR, and the ability to handle radiopharmaceuticals safely.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ARRT or CNMT registration required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred: ARRT or CNMT with minimum 2 years experience in Nuclear Medicine or CT.
• Must demonstrate ability to handle radioactive tracers safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform PET-CT imaging under radiologist supervision and ensure high-quality diagnostic images.
• Participate in quality control, patient escort services, and training activities.
• Maintain ACR accreditation and safety standards within the department.
