Heart Hospital of Austin is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN to join our radiology team. The role involves performing diagnostic nuclear medicine studies, maintaining patient comfort, and coordinating with physicians and staff to ensure high-quality care.

The ideal candidate will hold an Associate Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or equivalent, TX licensure, and NMTCB/ARRT (N) or CNMT certification. BLS is required within 30 days; ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Competenze

• Associate degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or equivalent.
• Certification by NMTCB/ARRT (N) or CNMT is required.
• Licensed by the Texas Medical Board and board-certified radiologic technologist (N) is required.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days; ACLS within 6 months of employment start date.

Mansioni

• Perform Nuclear Medicine exams in a timely manner and document results.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians and care staff.
• Evaluate patient condition to appropriately perform radiology exams.
• Explain procedures to patients and obtain cooperation.
• Provide direct patient care and maintain a safe, comforting environment.
• Consult with staff to meet patient and family needs.
• Ensure availability and safe use of clinical equipment; perform Point of Care procedures as needed.
• Document information and comply with quality control standards.

Formazione

Associate Degree

Joint Review Committee on Education Program in Nuclear Medicine Technology program or equivalent

NMTCB and/or ARRT (N)

Certified by the Texas Medical Board (TMB)

CNMT or ARRT (N)

Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of start date

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of start date
